Warning! Watching the new Björk video while eating can be dangerous for those with weaker stomachs. Same as Layo & Bushcwacka!’s Love Story. The tunes are great in both cases. As a note, Björk seems to love having shocking videos. I remember Pagan Poetry and those hooks in her back. Yayks!

At least these videos are different from the boring average.

[ Just caught Ladytron’s Seventeen from the beginning. Recording… Average video but cult band! ]

I received 5 SMSes wishing me a Merry Christmas. Hmmm. I thought I have more friends with cell phones. I was wrong…

Yuppeee! It's Christmas!

Christmas Tree - Final Phase Here it is! You can see about an afternoon’s work on the left side. Taking photos of a Christmas tree is kind of problematic because all those shiny things reflect the camera’s flash and you end up with an ugly pic. So I assure you that the actual tree is a lot more beautiful than what you can see here.

Today didn’t went too well. I woke up again as a result of a phone call. Somebody looking for Mum. Well she wasn’t around. So I went back to sleep. Not long after I woke up I installed Dungeon Siege, hoping that this time my hard drive will not stall as it did the last time when I tried. (I have some serious problems with my HD but I’m too lazy to burn all my MP3s and all the other stuff I have to return it…) It didn’t stall. It installed. I began playing. What a wonderful game! I favour this if it comes down to compare it with Neverwinter Nights. The graphics are beautiful and it has a nicer story and you don’t get lost between 1 million numbers which represent your character’s abilities in Neverwinter.

I played a little and then Mum came and told me to get started with that tree. I got started. But two friends, who came after some Christmas songs, interrupted me. And I paused a little. And then my father did it! Somehow he managed to brake a window. So I had work for almost all the afternoon. With the help of a neighbour I managed to temporarily fix it but it doesn’t look great. I hope father will fix it for good. When he gets… uhm… sober.

After about an hour of fixing work I came back into my room to find my friends half frozen. I apologized but they left in hurry.

I continued with the tree slowly reaching phase 1 ( = all the candies up) then phase 2 ( = all the globes) and then the final stage.

I was done with it! Ha. Time for some more Dungeon Siege. Which I played for a few more hours. Then I took a nightly bath. And here I am.

3... 2... 1...

Christmas Tree OK. I rushed it with my last entry. Story: I woke up (phone call). Peeked out on the window. Saw snow falling. Wrote blog entry. Went back to sleep. When I woke up again after about 3 hours there was no trace of snow falling from the sky. The level of snow only raised with about 3 centimeters. Too bad.

But there’s a chance of boarding. The guys from the gang are going to spend Christmas Eve at a nearby resort. And they invited me. But I don’t think I’ll be going. There are several reasons: I must decorate the Christmas tree tomorrow (which got into it’s place today - see picture), I should work (even now) on a project which must be partly finished for the 1st of January 2003 (I very much doubt it will be ready in time - more on this another time), I should spend Christmas with my parents (it’s nice this way) and most important I should spend some time with my cousin who came home from Spain! Last time he visited back this spring after a year and a few months of being gone. We spent some time together back then, and it was very cool. And now he’s back again. Actually it was known that he’s not coming because he wanted this to be a surprise for his Mum. Nice surprise!

A few minutes ago I was invited to link up in a network with a friend (Steve). But I do not have the power to carry around my 17” monitor and my computer on the slippery icy roads. He lives near, but no. And if we link up it’s sure that we’ll spend the night playing UT2003 and other games and so tomorrow I’ll be flat tired. Unable to do anything without having a nervous breakdown. So I better stay home.

I spent most of today reading blogs and articles found on the Net and burning some audio CDs for two friends. And I found the perfect music for my listening pleasure. I dag up an old MP3 CD filled with Dream Theater albums and it just did it. I like this band! A lot.

Off to eat some rice pudding. Yum!

It’s snooowing.
“I’m dreaming of a white Christmas…”
