A few photos

Well I just got home from the party…

Had time to download 1 + 1/2 MP3s and to upload some photos from the big air competition. More details later.

UPDATE No photos. Maybe they’ll be back later.

Finally, an active day ahead

Well, tomorrow looks full. At least compared to my usual daily schedule which involves sitting in front of my ‘puter typing, eating, then sitting some more, eating, and then sitting in front of it until morning…

Tomorrow will be different. In the morning it looks like I’m going to see a national big air competition (snowboard) and probably fill my camera’s memory with pics. The problem is that the guys I’m going with go with their skis and I’m not really sure if I want to take my board. As I’m taking my camera. We’ll arrive there around 9:30 and the competition starts around 11 or 12. So what will I do one and a half hour out in the cold? Hmmm. But I’m going anyway. It’s sure.

At 5:30 I must be home. Because the big party starts. One of my friends is celebrating his birthday and he plans get everybody happy. The plan looks like this:

  • gang comes to me;
  • we write the card, all gang signs it;
  • we go to his place;
  • give him the card and his present, which is a wind chime, which we bought today, wish him well, blablabla;
  • then we go in our favorite club where the celebration will continue until the morning.

This means that by the morning everybody will probably be flat drunk.

At least it’ll be a break in the pattern.

Adventures with the microwave oven

Well, today mother bought some glass dishes and father bought a recipe book for the microwave oven. Fact is he didn’t really buy it. He brought it home as a test… Anyway. I decided to make myself some pudding.

I took the book. Peeked in it. It read: “cook for 6 minutes on 500W and stir every two minutes”. OK. I set the oven to 480W (no 500W on mine). Set 6 minutes. Go! Took it out every 2 minutes. Stirred it. OK. 6 minutes. I took it out. The milk was… warm. I thought: “Father, f* your book”. Throw it back. Set it it to 3 minutes. High power. Took it out. It was hot. Boiling. But it was pudding. Not warm milk.

Yum.

So much about books.

Sometimes you just HAVE to write fan mail

Visiting Kahvi yesterday night after listening for the 1 millionth time to DiE - Strangest Thing (reviewed by GoodStuff) I saw that this guy had another release, namely the Chamleep EP which I downloaded in a hurry (well, as much as I could hurry on dial-up). The first tune of the EP disappointed me a little but the second one is cool. I guess that when it comes to IDM I like more rhythm based stuff and not those chilly “let’s-drop-a-bass-drum-now-and-then” kind of tunes.

Now I have to inquire for his e-mail to drop him a few lines…

Bogdan's new "portfolio"

My friend, Bogdan, launched his new portofolio. It’s nice. Has a lot of eye candy. And it wants to be the Web outpost of his startup. Well, I wish him a lot of luck!
